Im Jahr 1989 verirrte sich Science Fiction in die Realität - sein futuristisches Styling wirkte fast als Fremdkörper im Straßenverkehr: Von manchen als zu radikal abgelehnt - von vielen anderen bewundert. Liebevoll Dustbuster genannt. 1994 im Design entschärft - 1996 eingestellt - bis heute eine Legende auf 4 Rädern.

Der Pontiac Trans Sport
Schon als er 1986 als Concept Car der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt erregte der Pontiac Trans Sport Aufsehen und ging 1989 in Produktion. Während seiner Herstellungszeit bis Ende 1996 und darüber hinaus bis heute war, ist und bleibt der futuristische Transsport - gerade auch in Europa - eine Ausnahmeerscheinung im Straßenbild.
Von der Vision zum futuristischen Concept Car in 1986. Vom Prototypen zum ersten Serienmodell das gerade mal knappe 4 Jahre später 1989 in Produktion ging. Bald mal liebevoll, mal spöttisch "Dustbuster" genannt - von vielen bewundert, von manchen als zu extrem empfunden. Sein Facelift im Jahr 1994 bis hin zum Ende der Produktion im Jahr 1996, dem entgültigen Ende des GM-Werks in Tarrytown (New York) nach fast 100 Jahren. DIE Community für Pontiac Trans Sport Fans
Wir sind (siehe auch: Wer wir sind) eine eingeschworene Gemeinschaft, die sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat den legendären Dustbuster (wie der Pontiac Trans Sport mal spöttisch, mal liebevoll genannt wird) auf der Straße zu halten, meist im ganz alltäglichen Einsatz. Hauptsächlich aber so wie er gebaut wurde, möglichst original und unverbastelt.
FAQ, Helpline, Tricks & Tipps, Dokus, Infos und Ressourcen rund um den Pontiac Trans Sport und seine Schwestermodelle Chevrolet Lumina & Oldsmobile Silhouette - das alles bieten www.TransSport.net & www.Trans-Sport.eu. Diese Seite versteht sich als Erweiterung unser Community Site, dem Pontiac TransSport Portal. Dort treffen wir uns, diskutieren und helfen einander. This site provides a TransSport-FAQ, documentation, stepy-by-step repair-guides for the Pontiac Trans Sport and of course our famous helpline where Trans Sport drivers sign up to help fellow drivers when in trouble. We support the Chevrolet Lumina & the Oldsmobile Silhouette as well - and even if this site is mainly about the original Dustbuster many members are able to offer help for the newer models from 1997, too. The sites transsport.net and trans-sport.eu exist to support and extend our Community Site, the Pontiac TransSport Portal - the place where we meet!

Most members speak several languages, first of all german, english, french, italian and many more. So feel free to drop in - if you encounter any problems please mail me, the webmaster and we'll sort that out so you can be part of the Trans Sport Community.
Our goal ist to help each other with the everyday problems the Trans Sport offers - as much as special technical problems such as the 4T60-E Torque Converter Clutch Problem (also known as 'P0740') and many more special solutions to keep the Pontiac Trans Sport original and on the road. As well available is help with computer diagnosis system, real time diagnosis with interface.
The other main feature of our community is the community itself: the members are more than technical advisors or people seeking for help. Most of us became friends over the years and there are big Trans Sport meetings all over Europe each year. To get involved and don't hestitate even if the main language of the website is german. I am still planning to translate the whole site her into english, but that will take a while. And the Portal-Site... well, it's almost impossible to keep track there, as it is growing so fast and changing a lot. Still - if you have questions and want to get in touch, just send me a mail.
